Flora & Fauna

Being the pearl of Indian Ocean Sri Lanka is truly a paradise as it’s called. As Sri Lanka is rich in bio diversity, it has over 90 species of mammals, over 80 species of snakes and about 435 species of birds. When talking about flora, Sri Lanka has rain forests, grasslands and many mountain ranges which are perfect for hiking,trekking and camping. You can see the diversity mainly in places like Sinharaja forest, Kanneliya forest, Horton plains and diversity in fauna can be seen in places like Yala, Kumana or Wilpaththu.
